Abstract

Seville resisted the spread of the Black Plague and continued to be an important commercial center for years to come. Countless important individuals looking to prosper from the trade with the Indies gathered around its port and took part in its commercial activity. The city still shows signs of this community, visible in its streets, squares, and even buildings. In one way or another, city, architecture, and art were impacted by life by El Arenal.
