Abstract
para el desarrollo de las fiestas patronales en su comunidad de origen;
y Santo Santiago.
Zacatecas is one of the mexican states with highest migration rates to the United States of America. Among other impacts, migrations has an important effect on their traditions, both at their homeland and the new places where they settle. The distance and the intention to keep a link to their homeland have encourage migrants to attempt to preserve their traditions, which are transformed when adapted to their new hometowns, visible for example in the outfits, that now are not only made with the traditional elements but also include elements of their new context. These influences are also present back in the community of origin, as an example there are economical sponsorships to the local festivities granted by ¿the absent¿. This article focuses on analysing the impacts on the celebrations to San José and Santo Santiago.
