AB Zacatecas es uno de los estados mexicanos que históricamente hatenido altos índices migratorios hacia Estados Unidos de América,y esto ha trascendido en el ámbito de la cultura popular. La gente almigrar lleva consigo significados que se transforman en las regionesa las que se traslada y la distancia que los separa de sus comunidadesde origen propicia que intenten preservar sus tradiciones, así comoel vínculo con la tierra que los vio nacer.Al respecto podemos mencionar el aporte económico que otorganpara el desarrollo de las fiestas patronales en su comunidad de origen;la transformación o integración de elementos a la indumentaria delas danzas tradicionales o el recrear la fiesta patronal en territorioestadounidense. En esta ocasión se abordará la devoción a San Joséy Santo Santiago.
AB Zacatecas is one of the mexican states with highest migration rates tothe United States of America. Among other impacts, migrations has animportant effect on their traditions, both at their homeland and the newplaces where they settle.The distance and the intention to keep a link to their homeland haveencourage migrants to attempt to preserve their traditions, which aretransformed when adapted to their new hometowns, visible for example inthe outfits, that now are not only made with the traditional elements butalso include elements of their new context. These influences are also present back in the community of origin, as an example there are economicalsponsorships to the local festivities granted by ¿the absent¿.This article focuses on analysing the impacts on the celebrations to SanJosé and Santo Santiago.
