Abstract
During the Modern Age, in Andalusian art a special situation is detected around the city of Antequera. Its geographical location, in the center of the region and at the crossroads of two important north/south and east/west communication highways, allowed its artists to receive commissions from towns in different provinces, expanding their works of art throughout Andalusia. In addition, on the one hand, some of its artists settled in Seville, where they maintained a close friendship that influenced labor relations; and, on the other hand, artists from Seville settled in Antequera.
