Abstract
En el presente trabajo se ofrece un compendio de las intervenciones llevadas a término en el interior de la catedral metropolitana de Valencia a lo largo del s. XVII, entre las que ocupan lugar preeminente la sustitución de la sillería coral bajomedieval y la reforma en clave barroca de la Capilla Mayor. Con el propósito de avanzar en el conocimiento de la institución durante dicha centuria se ofrece, además, información relativa a un número importante de seglares y eclesiásticos contratados por la misma, caso de diferentes componentes de la capilla musical.
This work offers a summary of the interventions carried out inside the metropolitan cathedral of Valencia during the 17th century, among which the replacement of the late medieval choir stalls and the baroque renovation of the Main Chapel are of prime importance. With the purpose of advancing in the knowledge of the cathedral during that century, information is also offered regarding an important number of laymen and ecclesiastics contracted by the institution, as is the case of many components of the musical chapel.
