Abstract

During the 17th and 18th centuries, the towns of the Aljarafe region, located to the west of the province of Seville, very near from the capital, experienced a process of enriching their artistic heritage, the result of which we can still admire today. In the present work we analyze the main characteristics of two baroque complexes that stand out for their singularity, quality and state of conservation: the collegiate church of the county town of Olivares, and the baroque buildings of the archbishop ́s town of Umbrete. We also provide some artistic news about the sanctuary of Our Lady of Loreto, in Espartinas.
