Abstract
Conflictual divorces are one of the sources of stress that can cause serious future psychological and physical consequences for children. It is necessary to work with the parents from a family point of view so that the separation process is as far as possible alien to the children, with the aim of differentiating the marital sphere from the family sphere. For this reason, this case study aims to demonstrate the need to introduce in our legal system a new psycho-social figure called Parenting Coordinator, where Family Social Work has much to contribute. In addition, a historical-social journey will be made to know how this tool has been created; as well as to contextualize the Spanish situation and more specifically the Andalusian reality.
