Abstract
Abstract The aim of this research of descriptive nature, is to acquire deeper knowledge and insight into the social behaviors of students. To this effect we collected data from different schools in Sevilla, using the sociometric method. We profiled ¿popular¿ and ¿rejected¿ students in an effort to understand and prevent bullying. The data collection and profiling was done using the sociometric test. Following this method, 51 distinct groups, from diverse areas and social background (urban, rural, public and private schools) were analyzed. Rates for several metrics were obtained, including but not limited to, popularity, anthipaty and sociometric status. These metrics were then contrasted with inclusion and exclusion among students in each different type of school. This analysis resulted in an intervention proposal to reduce bullying across several schools in Sevilla.
