Abstract
El artículo presenta una breve exposición acerca de varios tipos de retratos
realizados en Santafé. Enmarcados dentro de las categorías de memoria, la
teoría renacentista y la pictórica española escrita por Francisco Pacheco,
tomando como fuentes pinturas y documentos de archivo como testamentos
se identifican retratos relacionados con la memoria afectiva y la histórica.
De otro lado, también se abordan aquellos retratos encargados para fundar
memorias personales y de grupo en donde se retrataron tanto criollos como
indígenas en aras de la salvación del alma dentro del fuerte contexto religioso
en el que se vivía en Santafé durante los siglos coloniales.
The article presents a brief exposition about several types of portraits made in Santafé. They are classified within the categories of memory, renaissance theory and Spanish pictorial theory written by Francisco Pacheco, using as a sources pictures and documents as testaments. The portraits were identifying having a connection with a affective and historical memory. On the other hand, portraits commissioned to found personal and group memories are also introduced, in which, both, creoles and indigenous people were portrayed with the view of saving souls inside the strong religious context of Santafé people during colonial times.
