Abstract
This Final Degree Project shows a research design on acquired brain damage, the people who suffer from it and, especially, the families of those affected. A bibliographic review is carried out that ranges from the evolution of the concept of functional diversity to the role of women as the main caregiver. The aim is to know the phases a family goes through when one of its members acquires brain damage through the use of qualitative methodology and, specifically, the interview technique. The questions formulated in it are of their own invention and cover four blocks, focused on the stages that are believed to be most crucial for families.
