Abstract
Exploramos la construcción del espacio público frente al miedo en
las ciudades latinoamericanas en el marco del estudio de los procesos
socio-espaciales operando desde la elaboración genealógica y de
la instrumentación interpretativa. Reflexionamos sobre el proceso
de urbanización de las ciudades latinoamericanas y la desigualdad,
segregación socio-espacial y la violencia urbana y cómo estos factores
se relacionan entre ellos o se distancian, sus puntos de encuentro
y/o de conflicto que llegan a potenciar o deteriorar la construcción
de las ciudades produciendo el abandono de lo público, la creciente
demanda por la seguridad, la ampliación de tecnologías de control
y la normalización de los espacios públicos cada vez mas previsibles
y amorfos.
This article explores the construction of the public space against fear in Latin American cities. It is located within the framework of the socio-spatial processes operating with the genealogical elaboration and interpretive instrumentation. It reflects on the process of urbanization of Latin American cities as well as on the inequality, socio-spatial segregation and urban violence, and how these factors relate to each other, their points of encounter and / or conflicts that increase or impacts on the deterioration of cities and on the abandonment of the public, the growing demand for protection and security, the expansion of control technologies and the normalization of public spaces increasingly predictable and amorphous.
