Los conventos de clausura de Menorca: presente y futuro

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es exponer brevemente la investigación en curso que estamos llevando a cabo en Menorca, centrada en el análisis y estudio del estado actual y la proyección futura de sus conventos de clausura: el monasterio de Santa Clara de Ciutadella y el de Concepcionistas de Maó. A lo largo del proyecto intentaremos profundizar en el estudio y situación particular de cada uno de estos cenobios valorando la posibilidad de poner en marcha medidas relacionadas con su gestión, con la intención de contribuir a su preservación futura. Entendemos que su protección y salvaguarda es incuestionable no solo por sus valores histórico-artísticos y culturales, sino también porque su presencia refuerza la singularidad y diversidad del patrimonio menorquín.

In this conference, we will try to present the research based on the analysis and study of the state and the future projection of the closure convents of Menorca: the monasteries of Santa Clara (Ciutadella) and Concepcionistas (Maó). The particular situation of these monasteries will be studied, implementing measures related to their management. We intend to contribute to their future preservation. We understand that its protection and safeguarding are unquestionable for its historic-artistic and cultural values, but also because its presence reinforces the singularity and diversity of the Minorcan heritage.
