Abstract
Social reintegration is one of the central pillars of the current legislation in penitentiary matters in our country. However, when an individual deprived of their liberty begins the process of reintegrating into society, they encounter significant barriers. Social exclusion, precariousness, weak social support networks; these are part of the reality that many people face once their sentence is completed in a Penitentiary Center. These realities become more complex when we talk about incarcerated women or individuals of migrant origin, who also experience difficulties in exercising their right to citizenship. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen post-prison attention in a way that contributes to making social reintegration a reality. This document presents an intervention project from the field of Social Work based on the construction of a Mutual Support Group with former inmates in the territorial delegation of Seville of the Prolibertas Foundation.
