Abstract
Como miembro de la familia yuto-nahua/azteca, el náhuat-pipil comparte una serie de rasgos de su estructura sintáctica: lengua omnipredicativa con marcación en el centro rector. Las funciones gramaticales sólo se señalan en la compleja frase verbal, mientras las frases nominales derivan de verdaderas oraciones por un proceso de nominalización. Ligado a su tipología de marcación, los sustantivos y adjetivos sustituyen los índices de objeto y, por incorporación, forman nuevos lexemas. En particular, las partes del cuerpo desempeñan un papel esencial al formar raíces verbales con un sentido singular. El significado corporal se conceptualiza en una noción abstracta y epistémica, ya que cada parte del cuerpo adquiere un potencial energético que induce un cambio de su implicación concreta a un nivel nocional. Este sentido conceptual sugiere separar la incorporación advervial y del objeto al verbo de la derivación con partes del cuerpo. Uno de esos órganos es el ojo/cara (iix) cuyo valor visual lo transforma en un centro apistémico. El conocimiento directo visual (iix-mati) sobrepasa el saber experimental (mati), así como la transcripción de su reporte testimonial (iixpantilia) involucra un concepto óptico y jurídico. "Iixpantilia" implica la deposición de un testimonio ocular a una autoridad o colega. El concepto de historia al menos se cuadriplica: presencia visual (-iixpan), simple manifestación (iixpantia), deposición de un testimonio (iixpantilia) y, por fin, su estudio racional.
A member of the Uto-Aztecan Family, Nahuat-Pipil shares its peculiar syntactic structure: a head-marking and omni-predicative language. All grammatical functions are marked only in the complex verbal phrase, while noun phrases derive from complete sentences by a process of nominalization. Linked to its head-marking typology, adjetives and nouns can substitute objetc indexes and, by incorporation, form new lexical items. In particuar, body parts play a relevant role in creating compound verb stems with a specific meaning. The corporal sense is conceptualized into an abstractact and epistemic notion, since each body part acquires an energy potential that induces its implication to change from the concrete to the notional level. This concepual nuance suggests separating object and adverbial incorporation from body parts lexical derivation. One of these organs is the eye/face (iix) whose visual value transforms it into an epistemic center. Visual and experimental knowledge (iix-mati) supersedes experimental knowledge (mati), as well as the transcription of its testimonial account (iixpantilia) involves an optical and juridical concept. "Iixpantilia" implies the deposition of an eyewitness report to an authority or colleague. The concept of history is at least a quartet: visual presence (-ixxpan), simple manifestation (iixpantia), deposition of a testimony (iixpantilia), and finally its rational study.
