Abstract
La música está presente en nuestras vidas de manera habitual, nos acompaña en muchos
momentos, en nuestras relaciones interpersonales, en nuestras celebraciones y en los
momentos más introspectivos, además tendemos a relacionarla con procesos de
socialización y de festividad, por lo que, sumado a los datos que nos indican que el
consumo de alcohol, tabaco y drogas entre jóvenes es notable, nos hace pensar que
investigar la relación entre los géneros musicales preferenciales y el consumo de
sustancias perniciosas para la salud, además de patrones de comportamiento y realización
de actividades diarias asociadas a la música, podría ser algo realmente necesario y
sustantivo para conocer mejor ciertas dinámicas, y poder llevar a cabo programas de
prevención futuros. Recopilar y analizar datos de una muestra de gente joven puede
hacernos entender cómo la música nos influye y nos condiciona, y si nuestro consumo de
sustancias aumenta o no según los géneros que preferimos.
Music is present in our lives on a regular basis, it accompanies us in many moments, in our interpersonal relationships, in our celebrations and in the most introspective moments, and we tend to relate it to processes of socialization and festivity, so that, added to the data that indicate that the consumption of alcohol, tobacco and drugs among young people is remarkable, it makes us think that investigating the relationship between the preferred musical genres and the consumption of substances harmful to health, in addition to behavior patterns and daily activities associated with music, could be something really necessary and substantial to better understand certain dynamics and be able to carry out future prevention programs. Collecting and analyzing data from a sample of young people can make us understand how music influences and conditions us, and whether or not our substance use increases according to the genres we prefer.
