Abstract

Highlights the relationship of the concept of sustainability in the residential habitat, as a space to nurture the family and therefore housing. Within the knowledge of sustainability in the residential habitat, this article focuses on the vernacular architecture as daily expression allowing other forms of dwelling in the city. This test allows you to appreciate that although the cultural aspect is rarely emphasized in the urban residential spaces, is an important element for analysis and reflection about the concept of sustainability.
