Abstract
COVID-19 vaccination has been widely rejected by society, in contrast to other vaccines. At a period in which new technologies are used to be informed, it is evident that they are a source of disinformation. The distrust and uninformation perceived by society has resulted in an increase in the anti-vaccine discourse. The aim of this study is to analyze the previously mentioned causes of vaccine hesitancy and to study the influence of informal social control and stigma on people who refuse COVID-19 vaccination and to discuss the social mechanisms that make them get vaccinated or not.
