Abstract
In this brief essay, we present the work of three female photographers which work is made with their own experiences and bodies, showing a position that contributes to the creation and visibility of other ways to understanding the maternal body. In their narratives as a model of resistance, they make an aesthetic confrontation with the current models that dominate the collective imagination. Whit their photography, they propose other ways of representing motherhood which is faraway from the traditional representations of pregnant women, as loving, untainted and creator of life, to give space to other visual alternatives.
