Abstract

Seville has undertaken a prominent Portuguese influence and has become deeply marked by the neighboring country. In fact, the relations of the Spanish city with Portugal were very intense over the centuries. An influential Lusitanian community was based in the Andalusian city making itself present both in the public and private circles. This paper looks into the second half of the XVII century, and provides an insight of the clear testimonies of the Lusitanian influence.
