Iglesia de La Recolección de Nicaragua. Parte I: Documentando y valorando la huella del barroco en Centroamérica

Abstract

Entre las iglesias del centro histórico de León destaca La Recolección. Del siglo XVIII exhibe una fachada-retablo pasionaria de manufactura vernácula; con elementos y características que la sitúan como una clara expresión del barroco iberoamericano. La idea del trabajo presentado fue generar una base histórico-gráfica como punto de partida para iniciar tres procesos: la documentación, la caracterización y la identificación de sus valores patrimoniales.

Among the churches of the historical center of León ¿La Recolección¿ stands out. From the 18th century, it exhibits a passionate altarpiece facade that represents the Passion of Christ, of vernacular manufacturing, with elements and characteristics that place it as a clear expression of Latin American baroque. The idea of the work presented in this communication was to generate a historical-graphic basis as a starting point for three processes: the documentation, characterisation and identification of its heritage values.
