Subordinadas sustantivas: la mujer a través de la pintura barroca gallega.

Abstract

El presente trabajo pretende arrojar luz, mediante el análisis de diferentes ejemplos de la pintura barroca gallega, sobre cómo se gestó, durante los siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII en los territorios hispanos, un modelo de lo femenino y la feminidad que sembró el origen para las construcciones de género que fundamentaron el devenir de las sociedades patriarcales; al mismo tiempo que se pretende destacar el papel que en este proceso jugaron las representaciones pictóricas a través de la propagación de modelos iconográficos femeninos que encarnaban los destinos elegidos por los hombres para las mujeres.

The present work tries to shed light, through the analysis of different examples of Baroque Galician painting, on how models of the feminine and the femininity, that were created in the XVI, XVII and XVIII centuries in the Hispanic territories, sowed the origin for the gender constructions that founded the future of patriarchal societies; at the same time as it is intended to highlight the role played by pictorial representations in this process through the propagation of female iconographic models that embodied the destinies chosen by men for women.
