Isabel Oyarzábal Smith and the theatre in her magazine La Dama Ilustrada

Abstract

This paper is the result of the research carried out within the project “Andaluzas Ocultas. Half a century of intellectual women (1900-1950)” a FEDER Andalusia R+D+i Project directed by Professor Mercedes Arriaga Flórez, from the University of Seville. This article aims on the one hand to summarize the intense professional and intellectual activity of the Malaga writer Isabel Oyarzábal Smith with a special focus on theatre and on the other hand to analyze the section of theatre she wrote in the magazine La Dama Ilustrada (1907-1911).
