Abstract
In this article, an approach is made to the Marquis Villapuente¿s family who founded the Jesuits missions that were introduced in the Lower California between 1698-1768, the grants they gave to the Society of Jesus and the reason why this assistance was made. References about the people¿s benignity are found in the written sources, but the reasons of the benefactors must be found out. Businesses and profits that were obtained because of the grants, clientelism, networks and testaments will be studied. The trails left by the capital, properties and goods and their benefactors will be followed.
