Resiliencia comunitaria a la gentrificación en el casco histórico norte de Sevilla.

Abstract

El presente ensayo tiene como propósito analizar la adversidad que produce la gentrificación para el barrio del casco histórico norte de la ciudad de Sevilla. El itinerario marcado empieza por el análisis del contexto histórico de los barrios gentrificados que conforma esta zona, la Alameda de Hércules y el Pumarejo. En segundo lugar, explicar términos clave como la adversidad colectiva y la resiliencia comunitaria, para así poder entender la acción vecinal hacia este proceso. En un tercer lugar analizamos las causas de la gentrificación y las consecuencias hacia los vecinos del barrio. En el cuarto apartado del ensayo se desarrollan las acciones llevadas a cabo para, luchar contra la adversidad en la que se convierte la gentrificación, y las acciones o responsabilidades de los agentes públicos. Para culminar el ensayo, se hace una aproximación de manera crítica a los puntos tratados en el cuerpo del ensayo, tratando de plasmar lo aprendido y posibles intervenciones hacia la problemática.

The purpose of this essay is to analyze the adversity produced by gentrification for the neighborhood of the northern historic center of the city of Seville. The marked itinerary begins with the analysis of the historical context of the gentrified neighborhoods that make up this area, the Alameda de Hércules and the Pumarejo. Secondly, we explain key terms such as collective adversity and community resilience, in order to understand the neighborhood action towards this process. Thirdly, we analyze the causes of gentrification and the consequences for the neighborhood residents. In the fourth section of the essay we develop the actions carried out to fight against the adversity that gentrification becomes, and the actions or responsibilities of public agents. To culminate the essay, a critical approach is made to the points discussed in the body of the essay, trying to capture what has been learned and possible interventions towards the problem.
