Perfil de los menores absentistas: el caso de Torreblanca de los Caños

Abstract

Nos encontramos ante un proyecto de investigación cuya temática es el perfil de los menores absentistas en el IES S. XXI, en el barrio de Torreblanca, en Sevilla. Hemos decidido estudiar sobre esta problemática por varias razones, pero la principal es que consideramos importante conocer las causas y las consecuencias de los altos índices de absentismos en el instituto citado anteriormente. Así pues, con este proyecto de investigación pretendemos aportar a la comunidad el perfil de los menores absentistas y las causas que les llevan al absentismo para poder poner fin a esta lacra. A través de una metodología cualitativa, utilizando las técnicas de la entrevista y la encuesta, hemos recabado una serie de información que nos ha servido para identificar el perfil de los menores absentistas. Para concluir, consideramos que la investigación planteada ha sido un éxito porque hemos conseguido lograr nuestros objetivos, aunque somos conscientes de que se puede mejorar en algunos aspectos.

This is a research project on the profile of truant children at IES S. XXI, in the Torreblanca district of Seville. We have decided to study this problem for several reasons, but the main one is that we consider it important to know the causes and consequences of the high rates of absenteeism in the aforementioned school. Therefore, with this research project we aim to provide the community with the profile of absentee minors and the causes that lead them to absenteeism in order to put an end to this scourge. Through a qualitative methodology, using interview and survey techniques, we have collected a series of information that has helped us to identify the profile of truant minors. To conclude, we consider that the research has been a success because we have managed to achieve our objectives, although we are aware that there is room for improvement in some aspects.
