Rasgos de perfección oratoriana. Los santos de la Congregación de San Felipe Neri

Abstract

La santidad promovida por la iglesia católica después del Concilio Ecuménico de Trento, favoreció la canonización de religiosos que emularan los dogmas que en él se discutieron y aprobaron. La promoción e implantación de estas reformas se llevaron a cabo por las nuevas hermandades religiosas fundadas en esta época, una de ellas, la Congregación del Oratorio de San Felipe Neri, fue medular en este proceso. La elevación del santo fundador felipense en 1622 y la de sus adeptos en años posteriores, fue muestra del nuevo modelo de espiritualidad buscado en la iglesia triunfante. En este texto se expondrán cuáles son los tópicos y temas en los que la Congregación felipense basó su santidad y quienes de sus miembros son los representantes de este nuevo carisma.

The holiness promoted by the Catholic Church after the Ecumenical Council of Trent favored the canonization of ecclesiastics that emulated the dogmas that were discussed and approved. The promotion and implementation of these reforms were carried out by the new religious brotherhoods founded in this era; one of them, the Congregation of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri, was central to this process. The exaltation of the holy founder of the Oratorians in 1622 and his followers in later years was the sample of the new model of spirituality sought by the triumphant Church. This text displays the topics and issues in which the Oratorian Congregation based his concept of holiness and which members represent this new charism.
