Abstract

This text tells the story about what the Nudsumar are for the Guna Indigenous People. Beyond giving a formalistic explanation as an anthropomorphic or zoomorphic wooden figure, it describes the origin, relationships and how the Nudsumar are considered guardians and messengers of a community, especially when the evil spirits approach it and act as intermediaries between the natural and the preternatural world.
