Abstract
Human trafficking is a reality that has been present in Spain for a long time. In the present work, by means of a bibliographic review, the aim is to know how trafficking in women for the purpose of sexual exploitation works, what is its history, under which laws it is regulated and what are its characteristics depending on the country from which the victims come. On this last line of knowledge an analysis is carried out in which it is made known which are the countries that supply a greater number of victims to Spain, to know the personal profiles of these women, the particularities in the ''modus-operandi'' of the networks that execute the traffic, the conditions under which these women are sexually exploited... All this in order to find a deep and detailed degree of knowledge about this problem that is as sad as it is necessary to be solved.
