Abstract
En el medio siglo transcurrido entre las fechas elegidas para enmarcar este estudio, se produjeron importantes cambios en la construcción del nuevo santoral que empezó a diseñarse a expensas de las directrices de Trento. En este trabajo veremos cómo asume la periferia romana, representada por Sevilla y su reino, el reto de contribuir a la reconfiguración del horizonte cultual, con el aporte de los grandes maestros del barroco. Cincuenta años en los que sólo el relato dibujado por los artistas locales nos permiten comprender hasta dónde llegaron los cambios.

In the half century that elapsed between the dates chosen to frame this study, important changes occurred in the construction of the new saintship, which began to be designed at the expense of the guidelines of Trent. In this work we will see how the Roman periphery, represented by Seville and its kingdom, assumes the challenge of contributing to the reconfiguration of the cultural horizon, with the contribution of the great masters of the Baroque. Fifty years in which only the story drawn by local artists allows us to understand how far the changes went.
