Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze social control methods in terms of the prevention and control of crime in China. The objective of this article is to examine the effectiveness of social control methods in the prevention and control of crime in China. Through a bibliographic review, it has been found that crime levels in the country are low. However, conflicts have also been identified between social control methods and the right to personal and family privacy. The history of security in China shows a profound connection between historical periods and current social control strategies. Measures such as mass surveillance and the Social Credit System have been shown to reduce crime, in line with criminological theories. However, they pose ethical challenges by infringing on individual rights such as privacy, highlighting the need to balance public security with fundamental rights.
