Abstract
This paper contributes to the family business and entrepreneurship literature in several
ways. Students that belong to a family business have been involved in this situational
environment since their childhoods and have specific skills transmitted to them by their
parents. There is also a commitment to the family which may determine their future career,
and the future of the family business, if they decide to become successors. The perspective of
students without this background could be different. Entrepreneurship is something new,
attended by risk. The level of EB in family businesses is discussed ambiguously. Therefore,
successors need to be trained to be the creators of new wealth rather than merely guardians of
created wealth in the family business (Mitchell et al., 2009).
