Abstract
Used as a tool to reaffirm a lost identity and personal experience linked to memory, the ruin is established as one of the fundamental scaffold of the work of Jaime Suárez and Toni Hambleton, two of the most prominent artists in the contemporary art scene in Puerto Rico. This article seeks to describe, through the analysis of several works of these ceramists how the concept of ruin has evolved along their respective trajectories.
