Imagéticas de mim: um olhar sobre a desfiguração da autoimagem na fotografia

Abstract

O texto analisa a produção artística do autorretrato fotográfico. Na primeira parte do texto é apresentado brevemente o papel do corpo da mulher ao longo da história da arte até a atualidade, fazendo uma introdução sobre o assunto, sobre a origem do recorte de gênero na historiografia da arte e o uso da auto representação como forma de retomar a propriedade da imagem da mulher. A segunda parte tem como base o entendimento do fotógrafo e teórico espanhol Joan Fontcuberta sobre a estética do vampiro na fotografia e a criação de identidades. Na terceira parte são analisadas as representações visuais de estereótipos relativos à feminilidade. Posterior a isso, a última parte aborda a desfiguração da autoimagem como uma estratégia de atentar para crueldade da construção estereotipada de um ideal de beleza feminina.

The text analyzes the artistic production of the photographic self-portrait. In the first part of the text, the role of the woman’s body throughout the history of art is briefly presented, making an introduction on the origin of gender in art historiography and the use of self-representation as a form of retake ownership of the woman’s image. The second part is based on Spanish photographer and theorist Joan Fontcuberta’s understanding of the vampire aesthetic in photography and the creation of identities. In the third part, the visual representations of stereotypes related to femininity are analyzed. Afterwards, the last part approaches the disfigurement of the self-image as a strategy to pay attention to the cruelty of the stereotyped construction of an ideal of feminine beauty.
