La casa grande del pueblo: Hacienda de San Antonio Matute (Jalisco, México).

Abstract

A partir del debate sobre la indivisibilidad entre los aspectos material e inmaterial del patrimonio cultural, este artículo muestra el avance de un trabajo más amplio que indaga en la relación de dependencia que existe entre el patrimonio arquitectónico y la tradición de un pueblo, para entender el modo en el que las formas de vida tradicionales encuentran en el patrimonio construido un referente material de los sentidos originales en base a lo cual desarrollar cualquier cambio, evolución y adaptación a los tiempos presentes, que es el origen para un verdadero desarrollo en torno al patrimonio cultural. Para ello se toma como caso de estudio la `casa grande¿ de la hacienda y la comunidad de San Antonio Matute en Jalisco, México.

From the debate on indivisibility between the material and intangible aspects of cultural heritage, this article shows the progress of a broader work that inquires the relationship of dependence between the architectural heritage and people¿s traditions to understand the way in which traditional lifestyles find in the built heritage a material reference of the original senses on the basis of which any change develops, evolution and adaptation to the present times, which is the origin for a true development around the cultural heritage. For this, the `big house¿ of the hacienda and the community of San Antonio Matute in Jalisco, Mexico are taken as a case of study.
