Abstract
Santidad y sanidad: San Vicente Ferrer abogado contra la pestilencia cita en castellano el título de un grabado barcelonés del año 1651. Esta comunicación tiene como objetivo analizar la figura de San Vicente Ferrer (1350-1419) canonizado en 1455 como intercesor ante la enfermedad. Su hagiografía y la defensa de su santidad han tenido en cuenta numerosos milagros de curación e intersección en momentos de brotes epidémicos. Textos relativos a su proceso de canonización y numerosas publicaciones, como los tratados o las relaciones de sucesos, hacen referencia no sólo a su labor de predicación, sino también a las milagrosas curaciones y resurrecciones. La historia del arte nos muestra a través de numerosas obras esta faceta del santo valenciano.

Sainthood and health: Saint Vincent Ferrer as a lawyer against the pestilence, quotes the title of a Spanish engraving from the year 1651. This communication aims to analyze the figure of Saint Vincent Ferrer (1350-1419) canonized in 1455 as an intercessor to the disease. His hagiography and the defense of his sanctity have taken into consideration, as well as numerous miracles of healing and intersection at times of epidemic outbreaks. Texts related to his process of canonization and numerous publications, such as treaties or events relations, refer not only to his work of preaching, but also to miraculous cures and resurrections. Art History shows us, through numerous works, this facet of the Valencian saint.
