Abstract
Entre las diversas formas de estudiar la pintura colonial, este artículo se interesa por el análisis de los temas. Tomando el caso de la pintura de la Nueva Granada (actual Colombia), se busca analizar su producción visual dentro de las tendencias visuales iberoamericanas que se produjeron durante el periodo denominado la colonia. Se estudia cómo se ubica la producción colonial en el contexto de los grandes temas producidos en Iberoamérica; y se trata de determinar las ausencias, lo que no se pintó. Metodológicamente este es un ejercicio de historia digital basado en minería de datos, en el cual se ha trabajado una base de pintura americana de 19200 pinturas coloniales.

Description
This article is interested in the analysis of colonial visual themes. Taking the case of painting in New Granada (present-day Colombia), we seek to analyze its visual production within the Ibero-American visual trends produced during the period known as the colony. It is studied how colonial production is located in the context of the major themes produced in Ibero-America; and it is about determining absences, what was not painted. Methodologically, this is a digital history exercise based on data mining, in which an American painting base of 19200 colonial paintings has been worked on.
