Abstract
Triana se sitúa en la orilla occidental del Guadalquivir, frente al Arenal, tal como han mostrado las distintas vistas de la ciudad que hoy conocemos. Esa situación le permitió jugar un papel destacado en el sostenimiento y provisión de la flota de Indias. En este trabajo se muestran algunos testimonios que ponen de manifiesto esta relevante situación en el sistema de flotas.
Triana is located on the western bank of Gua- dalquivir river, facing the Arenal area, as the different views of the city known today have shown. This location allowed it to play a prominent role in the support and supply for the Indies fleet. This paper shows some testimonies that highlight this relevant position in the fleet system.
