LA MUJER GITANA DENTRO DEL MOVIMIENTO FEMINISTA: LA REALIDAD DEL FEMINISMO HEGEMÓNICO Y EL TRABAJO SOCIAL

Abstract

La lucha feminista es un movimiento más que presente en la sociedad actual, pero sin embargo, es necesario abordar si éste representa a todo tipo de mujeres, concretamente a las mujeres gitanas. Dicha investigación pretende determinar si las mujeres gitanas sufren discriminación dentro del feminismo actual, y cómo ello afecta a la percepción que se tiene sobre ellas en el ámbito institucional, incluyendo al trabajo social. Para ello, se ha aplicado el método cuantitativo a través de la difusión de cuestionarios de elaboración propia a una muestra compuesta por un total de 40 mujeres, de un rango de edad de entre los 14 a los 35 años de edad. Así pues, los resultados obtenidos determinan que las mujeres gitanas sufren discriminación dentro del feminismo actual y que no se sienten identificadas con el mismo, así como que éstas no perciben un verdadero respaldo institucional.

The feminist struggle is a movement that is more than present in today's society, but nevertheless, it is necessary to address whether it represents all kinds of women, specifically gypsy women. This research aims to determine if Roma women suffer discrimination within current feminism, and how this affects the perception of them in the institutional sphere, including social work. For this, the quantitative method has been applied through the dissemination of self-made questionnaires to a sample made up of a total of 40 women, with an age range of between 14 and 35 years of age. Thus, the results obtained determine that Roma women suffer discrimination within current feminism and that they do not feel identified with it and that they do not perceive true institutional support.
