Abstract

Durante la Edad Moderna los conventos femeninos fueron un centro de atracción para la población. Una de la razones por las que despertaban interés era por la presencia en ella de mujeres con fama de santidad. A través de sus consejos y su cercanía a los fieles estas mujeres jugaron un papel destacado en la difusión de los preceptos tridentinos.

Description

In Early Modern Spain female convents played a crucial role as socializing agents and as places where the population went to seek help. Saintly women, with their advices and help, contributed to spread Tridentine precepts among the population.
