El acoso escolar en las personas con diversidad funcional

Abstract

La sociedad no muestra suficiente conciencia sobre la vulnerabilidad que puede presentar el colectivo de personas con diversidad funcional frente al acoso escolar y lo que este conlleva, por tanto no se actúa de manera acorde a la magnitud del asunto.

Es necesario la sensibilización social y además el desarrollo de actuaciones preventivas para conseguir disminuir los estereotipos existentes y las situaciones de acoso y desigualdad que se puedan producir.

En el caso de producirse una situación de acoso, los familiares y profesionales tienen la necesidad y el deber de saber detectarlo. Para reconocerlo, se deben conocer cada una de las dimensiones del acoso y los indicadores que puedan darse ante el mismo.

La metodología llevada a cabo en nuestro proyecto de investigación para abordar dicha realidad, es de tipo mixto empleando la técnica del cuestionario, la entrevista y del grupo de discusión. Se realizará en torno a una serie de fases que posibilitan observar, diagnosticar, establecer un plan de acción, ejecutar dicho plan y evaluar los resultados alcanzados.

Por esta razón, y para garantizar el bienestar de las personas que presentan diversidad funcional, es fundamental el papel y la labor que desempeña el Trabajador Social, ya que es el encargado de llevar a cabo la intervención con la posible víctima de acoso y con su propio entorno, buscando eliminar aquellas actitudes, actuaciones o acciones y garantizando la defensa de los derechos de las personas con diversidad funcional.

As well as social awareness, the development of preventative interventions is necessary in order to reduce the number of existing stereotypes of bullying and the situations in which bullying takes place and inequality it can create. In the event of a bullying situation, families and professionals have the need and the duty of knowing how to detect it. In order to recognise it, all the dimensions of bullying must be known and the indicators that can come with it. The methodology we will use in our investigation project is to address the prestated reality, it is a mixed type using a number of techniques: questionnaires, interviews and discussion groups. It will be carried out in a series of phases which will make it possible to observe, diagnose, establish a plan of action, implement this plan and evaluate the results obtained. For this reason and to ensure the welfare of people with functional diversity, both the role and the work that the Social Workers do are fundamental. They are the people responsible for carrying out the interventions with the possible victims of bullying within their own environment, looking for ways to eliminate those attitudes, actions and ensuring the defence of the rights of people with functional diversity.
