This writing is a reflection on a component of the trousseau that is registered in the dowries: the clothes for the house and the clothes for the woman. Two of the most important cities of the Nuevo Reino de Granada (New Kingdom of Granada) were selected, such as Santiago de Tunja and Santafé de Bogotá, and the corresponding documentary collections were reviewed, in which information related to dresses, ornaments, draperies, with cloths and in general, being able to recognize how part of the world of fabrics and textiles has a strong connection with the world of women, both Spanish and indigenous.
