Esta transformación se evidencia, en particular, en el estudio histórico de algunas fiestas en la región amazónica, que son el tema de este primer ensayo.Dramatic representations of fights against Muslims were a constant element of festive celebrations held on religious or political commemorations in colonial Brazil. This type of manifestation may be related to others that arose from the appropriation of the visual culture of such court ceremonies by the society composed of indigenous, African and mestizos that was born from the rubble of the colonial system and gave rise to festive expressions of a transcultural character in which Islamic elements, also coming from an African matrix, merged with Amerindians and others from the Catholic cult imposed on society as a whole.
