Una revisión de los últimos estudios y la aparición de nuevas fuentes primarias ponen al descubierto las contradicciones y las cuestiones sociopolíticas y territoriales de la España finisecular y el movimiento regeneracionista de principios del siglo XX. The aim of this work is to contribute to the strengthening of a critical and social review that brings more information to the major break that Spanish sport experienced with the international sports movement set up by Pierre de Coubertin in 1894 until Spain¿s first participation in the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920.
