Si acaso, han merecido alguna atención los artífices vinculados a la Catedral o los emigrados a Indias. En las líneas que siguen, haciendo uso de abundante documentación procedente de las notarías sevillanas y del Archivo General de Indias, profundizamos en tres personalidades que juzgamos relevantes en ese momento. Todos practicaron actividades mercantiles y financieras, más allá del oficio de platero. Damos a conocer nuevos datos sobre la labor de Vozmediano, en relación con la cruz patriarcal del templo catedralicio, así como las cruces parroquiales para Gibraltar y la parroquia de Omnium Sanctorum. De Antezana destacamos el contrato de dos custodias para el convento de San Pablo y Cazalla de la Sierra y de Gallego subrayamos sus manufacturas de piezas civiles y un retablo argénteo para el mercader genovés Carlos Cataño.The scarcity of conserved pieces is one of the factors that has weighed the most on the scant interest of researchers when it comes to approaching Sevillian silverware from the first half of the 16th century. If anything, the silversmiths linked to the Cathedral or those who emigrated to the Indies have deserved any attention. In the lines that follow, making use of abundant documentation from Sevillian notaries and the Archivo General de Indias, we delve into three personalities that we judge relevant at that time. They all practiced commercial and financial activities, beyond the trade of silversmith. We present new data on the work of Vozmediano, in relation to the patriarchal cross of the cathedral temple, as well as the parish crosses for Gibraltar and the parish of Omnium Sanctorum.
