Some are still in situ in the Roman building and they can be contextualized within a precise constructive chronology. For others, re-employed in the later stages of the Hadrian monument, when the complex becomes a Byzantine basilica, to track a context and a constructive meaning is more difficult. All cases that will be presented, however, return an image of some aspects of the working activity in ancient workshops: the know-how transfer for realization of marble architectural elements. Traces of the production process, large and small, show the way the craftsman visualized the finished product.application/pdfitMármolArquitecturaConsiderazioni su sigle e tracciati di cantiere nella Biblioteca di Adriano ad AteneConsiderations on markings and traces of building site in the Library of Hadrian at Athensjournal articlerestricted access
