These processes have been intertwined, and although they leave little visible evidence, their details are revealed in the landscape through the testimonies of those who lived with them. The most important lesson that is taken up is that while the agrarian mancomun begins to fragment within, the validity of the municipal organization through institutions such as the tequio, is reproduced by the communities under a scheme of agrarian authorities.
