Entre ellos estudiamos a Diego Vidal de Liendo y Mateo Vázquez de Leca que tuvieron un papel importante en la actividad artística de Sevilla y de su Catedral. Los dos colaboraron en las ideas iniciales del proyecto constructivo de la iglesia del Sagrario de Sevilla. Esta participación se debió a los conocimientos artísticos y a la devoción a la Eucaristía. Diego Vidal tuvo habilidad artística y practicó el arte de la pintura. Vázquez de Leca participó en la propaganda de otras devociones religiosas y realizó importantes encargos de obras de arte. En este artículo también se estudian sus colecciones artísticas, según el inventario postmortem.Since the 16th century, some priests of Spanish cathedrals had a rich artistic culture that was reflected in the contract of works of art they made, in the opinions expressed in the cathedral sessions and in the post-mortem inventory of their assets. Among them we studied Diego Vidal de Liendo and Mateo Vázquez de Leca who played an important role in the artistic activity of Seville and its Cathedral.
