La actitud de hombres y mujeres ante la muerte y con ello la salvación del alma también fue un añadido más para que la parroquia encuadrara en su cometido afianzar las relaciones productivas de sus núcleos, aumentaron las propiedades por fundaciones de capellanías y patronatos, que quedarían reflejados en los asientos contables de los Libros de Fábrica a cargo de los mayordomos.The Baroque times were good times for the sevillian parishes, it exercised the opportune controls over its parishioners, some neighbors who had the institution as a social cohesive, a geographical point of reference, and a means to receive the physical and spiritual assistance they required; all this accompanied by famines, epidemics and floods that together with a major economic crisis made the parish comply with the charitable-assistance activity carried out by the clergy.
