AB Los textiles comprenden distintas manifestaciones materiales que dotan de identidad y valores simbólicos, sociales y culturales a los pueblos indígenas. En este trabajo abordamos la prenda íntima de la indumentaria ñätho u otomí de San Felipe de los Alzati de nominada labor o ra khoti, la analizamos desde la visión interna de las personas que la manufactura y desde la visión externa de las instituciones gubernamentales y culturales que tienden a asignarles el valor de objeto de arte popular y/o objeto de artesanía. Nos apoyamos en los planteamientos de la antropología mexicana para indagar sobre el tema de los objetos, particularmente de los textiles tradicionales, cómo han sido estudiados y cómo el papel de las instituciones y las formas en las que son nombrados los objetos afecta la producción de estos.
AB Textiles comprise different material manifestations that endow indigenous peoples with identity and symbolic, social and cultural values. In this work we approach the intimate garment of the ñätho or otomí clothing of San Felipe de los Alzati of nominated labor or ra khoti, we analyze it from the internal vision of the people who manufacture it and from the external vision of the governmental and cultural institutions that they tend to assign them the value of popular art object and / or handicraft object. We rely on the approaches of Mexican anthropology to investigate the subject of objects, particularly traditional textiles, how they have been studied and how the role of institutions and the ways in which objects are named affects their production.
