AB Esta indagación en torno a las pervivencias coloniales en las ciudades de Santa Marta y Bogotá (Colombia), parte del análisis de los ejes transversales de la circulación y atribución de poderes a las imágenes religiosas desde el contexto del Nuevo Reino de Granada. La ruta continúa con el estudio de las particularidades sobre los usos de los santos como vidas ejemplares en la retórica colonial neogranadina, especialmente, la profundización hagiográfica de santa Marta, su relación con atributos iconográficos visibles en imágenes y el vínculo patronal y devocional con la ciudad que lleva su nombre en Colombia. Construyendo un diálogo territorial y temporal entre el Nuevo Reino de Granada y la ciudad de Bogotá actual, se establecen relaciones dialógicas entre imágenes, textos de oración, objetos y hechicería de amor en ámbitos de culto públicos y privados/íntimos. Finalmente, se presenta la coexistencia de las tensiones y continuidades de las prácticas de culto legitimadas por la Iglesia católica y aquellas que no, provenientes del entorno esotérico, que, conforman las actualizaciones devocionales y las transformaciones de las imágenes de santa Marta a través de las experiencias de los devotos.

NO This an inquiry around colonial survivals in the cities of Santa Marta and Bogotá (Colombia), based on the analysis of the transversal axes of circulation and attribution of magic powers towards religious images from the times of the Nuevo Reino de Granada. The research roadmap proceeds with the study of the peculiarities in the utilization of the construct of both life and image of the saints as exemplary lives in the neogranadina colonial rhetoric, especially the in-depth hagiographic study of Santa Marta, its relation with iconographic attributes that result visible in imagery, and the patronal and devotional link to the eponymous city of Santa Marta in Colombia. After stablishing a territorial and temporary dialogue between the Nuevo Reino de Granada and the current city of Bogotá, dialogic relationships between images, prayer texts, objects and love spells in public and private/intimate spheres, emerge. Finally, the coexistence of both tension and continuity in the worship of either the practices legitimized by the Catholic Church and those that are not, coming from the esoteric environment, that make up the devotional updates and the transformations of the images of saint Marta through the experiences of devotees.
